Web/Perl Developer

We are looking for a software developer with strong Perl skills to extend a Picture Archive and Communication Systems (PACS) designed for the special needs of pre-clinical imaging studies. The software is based on the MVC framework Catalyst using Perl, Apache and MySQL. The structure (consultant or full-time) and salary of the position are negotiable dependent on the relevant experience and availability of the applicant.


Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of Modern Perl
  • Experience in one of Perl's Web MVC frameworks (Catalyst preferred)
  • Expertise in HTML, JavaScript, SQL and Linux
  • Strong background in developing Web 2.0 applications


QT Software Engineer

We are currently seeking a talented software engineer to extend and maintain our VivoQuant™ image analysis suite. The VivoQuant™ viewer is inviCRO's multi-modality post-processing suite for SPECT, CT, PET, MR and optical imaging data. DICOM and raw data can be imported as well as many proprietary formats for pre-clinical imaging equipment. The user base consists of in-house image analysts and external clients. Based on C++/Qt, the tool is deployed to Windows, Mac OS X and Linux and integrates tightly with our second platform, iPACS®, an image management and analysis framework.


Qualifications

  • Strong programming skills, with a background in C/C++ and object orientated software development
  • Experience in Nokia's Qt framework
  • Knowledge of OpenGL,
  • Working knowledge of POSIX and Linux system APIs
  • Experience in developing and deploying software for at least two of the major platforms (Windows, Mac OS X and Linux)
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to document work

Desired qualifications

  • Knowledge of medical imaging standards such as DICOM (in particular OFFIS dcmtk), Interfile, Analyze, Nifti
  • Background in image processing, preferably medical imaging
  • Experience with NLM's Insight Segmentation and Registration Toolkit (ITK) or Visualization Toolkit (VTK)


Junior Systems Administrator

We are seeking a Junior System (Linux) Administrator to support our software development and image analysis efforts. This position is responsible for RedHat/CentOS Linux server installation/management, general technical support, as well as processing and analyzing image data. The ideal candidate is a driven, dedicated individual with an interest in applied science and engineering.


Qualifications

  • 2 years relevant work experience - OR - relevant academic background in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, or relevant subject
  • Knowledge of Linux kernel, command line and system diagnostics (junior sys admin level). Experience administering RedHat/CentOS Linux preferred
  • Understanding the issues involved with administering and maintaining corporate infrastructure, including network connectivity, Internet access, email, etc
  • Understanding the issues involved in administering and maintaining corporate LAN/WAN
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to multitask and work to deadlines in an environment of change
  • Ability to learn quickly on the job through mentoring and action
  • Self-motivated and resourceful with good interpersonal skills
  • Fundamental knowledge of web, application, mail and database servers
  • Ability to work independently


Image Analysts

We are continuously seeking candidates with an image analytical background to potentially become a member of our project team, supporting image analysis efforts including processing and analyzing image data, developing and preparing study reports, and supporting study design. Your work will contribute to the development and/or testing of image analysis software and online study management platforms. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential. The candidates should be driven, hard-working, team-oriented individuals with an interest in applied science and engineering.


Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Life Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science
  • Detail-orientation and ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Coursework and/or lab experience in biology, biochemistry, and/or bioengineering
  • Experience with MatLab, C, and/or C++ preferred
